32. Surf Marathon Engadin 2009
Another crzy trip from this year! I could not leave Kalchreuth before 22.00 pm on friday night and had a drive through the night all the way to ST Moritz where i arrived at 3.00 in the morning. slept with my nose under the roof of my car on the boardbags for three hours and then got woken up by a most beautiful sunrise in the Engadin! The perfect weather promissed a good and strong wind for today and therefore the Surf marathon was on for sure today! 76 Windsurfers ( most of them on Course racing gear) starting 1 minute infront of the 24 Kiters did a great panorama as the course was 4 time up the lake and down! I had a pretty good start and strted to roll up the windsurfing fleet from behind. at the end i finshed 8th overall some minutes behind the fastest Windsurfer, but 9 minutes ahead of Patrik Koller who had won the Surf Marathon in 2008!
